![]() There’s 134 unique buildings and weapons/armor/loot/nearly everything scattered throughout. We also sometimes play in the city only if we’re trying to play quicker. The other 35 maps are also untouched so there’s plenty of just vanilla survival. The point system is +2 for a kill, -1 for a death, and if there’s a full lobby (8 people), we play to 10. In between all of the POI’s is just untouched world so that you can play survival still if you’d like. We’ve been building a city and random points of interest around one map in the world (it’s a large-size world, so it’s made up of 36 maps - where we’ve built everything is the center one in the 6圆 square).Įvery structure we’ve built is fully explorable, every chest has unique items, there’s random hidden spots, traps, rooms - all sorts of stuff. Since there aren’t servers or mods or anything like that on console, my friends and I do a really barebones version of the hunger games like what you’re describing. And you can't really compare this gamemode to UHC as it is a lot more fast-paced, it usually has more players (I miss those 80 player games), and most importantly: **you can regenerate health**. And I don't think it's because the pvp changes in 1.9 as lots of pvp gamemodes are still popular. Minecraft is coming back to popularity in 2019, but this gamemode is still dead. And it is no easy task, as all servers promoting to have "Hunger Games" have this loot chest gamemode I dislike. So my question is, what happened with those servers? I've been looking for years (no joke) for a server with this gamemode and no luck at all. It's also more focused around killing players with other kits as your main source of looting, and you have a compass that tells you where the closest player is, their name and the distance in blocks. Pretty similar to UHC but this gamemode actually came first and you can regenerate health in normal ways. I miss the good old hunger games where we would play in randomly generated maps and we could break and place blocks like in survival minecraft. My post in the main subreddit got deleted for some reason so I'll try here.īasically I'm tired of the modern hunger games servers where it's all about RNG with the loot chests (no sword at the start? you lose!).
